Scout the Light, Not Just the Room
Ask the venue for the direction of its largest windows and whether direct sunlight reaches the intended area during the event. A walkthrough at the same time of day is more informative than a general daytime visit.
Assign Responsibilities
Name the person responsible for venue permission, placement approval, setup, removal, and photographer coordination. Keep installation decisions with the venue and an appropriately qualified person.
Give the Photographer a Short Shot List
- Wide frame showing the room and projected color
- Medium frame connecting people to the light
- Detail frame of color on fabric or stationery
- Backup composition if direct sunlight is absent
Plan for Variability
Rainbow light depends on weather, season, window orientation, and timing. Treat it as an optional natural-light opportunity rather than a guaranteed event effect.
